11 Benefits of Seeding Aadhar Card Number to Your Bank Account






By registering yourself with Aadhar card  scheme, UIDAI (Unique Identification Athourity of India) issues a 12 digit number called Aadhar Card Number /UID. By linking it to your bank account you can have many benefits.
For this, account holder has to give consent to the bank. It can be done through visiting your bank branch with the self-attested photocopy of your Aadhar card and bank passbook. Aadhar card can be link with old account as well as new account.

     1.      DBTL (Direct Benefits Transfer of LPG)

By linking your aadhar card number to your bank account, you can get subsidy of LPG gas cylinder direct into your bank account. You have to pay the market price of LPG cylinder and the difference between market price and subsidized rate is credited to your bank account.


     2.     Rationing Commodities

The amount of subsidy of Kerosene, wheat, rice, edible oil, etc will be credited to your bank account. You have to pay market price of those commodities.


     3.     Daily wages of  MNREGA

Daily wages of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme will be credited to your aadhar card number linked bank account.


     4.     Tribal Development Schemes

To get the benefits of Tribal Development Schemes, you have to link your bank account with aadhar card number.


      5.     Scholarship

To avail the various government scholarships, the beneficiary of the scholarship must link his/her bank account with aadhar card number. Though some states of India have been exempted for some period.


      6.     Access from all over the country

By having aadhar card, you can access its services from all over India. In future, you can use these services with the help of ATM.


      7.     Jan-Dhan-Yojna

If someone wants to open a bank account in Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan-Yojna(PMJDY), an aadhar card number is enough for that. By opening an account with PMJDY scheme, a person can open a bank account with zero rupees. In additions, he/she can get free Rupay debit card, life insurance and accident insurance.


      8.     Passport in just 10 days

Earlier, police verification was must before passport issue. But with aadhar card number, one may get passport just in 10 days, as police verification can be done after the issuance of the passport.
      

      9.     Digital Locker

Only aadhar card holder can register for Digital Locker service. One can upload their documents to the locker and use for various perpose.


     10. Monthly Pension

In some states of India, pensiones have to link their aadhar card number to their bank account.


      11. Digital Life Certificate

This service has been launched by Department of Electroinics and Information Technology, also named as JEEVAN PRAMAN for Pensiones. Now, pensioners are not bound to be presented to get pension.


            Gradually, various agencies and departments of Government of India as well as many state government is making  aadhar card mandatory for benefits of their schemes.
